Marcel Vögele begins research stay

Marcel Vögele will spend four months in Canada for a research stay.

Between September and December 2025, Marcel Vögele will be conducting research at the University of Toronto. At the invitation of Prof. Dr. Stephan Heblich, Mr. Vögele will be conducting research in Toronto as part of his doctoral studies and participating in the academic life of the university. Prof. Heblich conducts research in the field of urban economics at the University of Toronto, frequently working with historical data to understand spatial disparities in the present.

Marcel Vögele has been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Microeconomics since October 2021. He is part of the DFG Research Training Group “Regional Disparities and Economic Policy” and his dissertation deals with adaptation processes in old industrial regions. In addition, Mr. Vögele is involved in teaching and supervises theses at the chair.
