Contents overview

This course is an introduction to behavioral economics. Behavioral economics makes use of various insights from the intersection of economics and psychology. It describes human behavior beyond the image of rational homo economicus, such as time-inconsistent behavior, the influence of reference points, or social preferences that explicitly consider the payoffs of other individuals. Empirical examples illustrate the models discussed.
